Higher education institutions in Canada - quick navigation

Why choose a Canadian institution of higher education?

There are plenty of opportunities to choose the right institution of higher education. International students can pursue graduate and undergraduate degrees in Canada, at a college or university, in a private or public institution. Canadian higher education institutions offer a wide variety of degree programs in business, IT technology, environmental protection, microbiology, engineering, energy, arts, and more.

At university, international students can earn a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree. In college the education lasts from one to four years and assumes that the student acquires a highly specialized profile with practical skills.

Entrance requirements are extremely lenient. To enter a Canadian institute of higher education it is enough to present a Ukrainian certificate or diploma and a certificate of international testing in English (IELTS, TOEFL, MELAB, CAEL, etc.). Entrance exams are waived in principle.

Close ties with the United States. Most Canadian higher education institutions have strong cooperative ties with U.S. educational institutions, which allows international students, for example, to study in the U.S. after two years of college.

Two in one: English and French. Education in Canada for Ukrainians is a great opportunity to master two foreign languages at once.

Great living conditions. All Canadian study programs provide comfortable accommodation for visitors – with host families, in a residence (studio apartment), or in a rented apartment. In addition, Canada has the most tolerant society.

Opportunity to work while studying. International students may work on campus from their first day of study, and six months later may work for any employer on a part-time basis during studies and full-time during vacation periods. After graduation, international graduates are eligible to work in Canada for one to three years on a full-time basis.

Education in Canada for international students – Cost. Higher education in Canada is 20-30% cheaper than in the USA or Great Britain, and the quality of education does not suffer at all. In addition, the cost of living and additional expenses are also 12% and 50% lower than in the U.S. and UK respectively.
